What size softener do I need?
Choosing the correct size of water softener is important. Using a machine too small for your requirements will result in poor performance and your water not being softened properly.
For window cleaning where the water softener is put before an RO system, a loose guide is as follows:
· A 5ltr water softener should not be used for filling tanks of more than 400ltrs (regenerate each fill)
· A 8ltr water softener should not be used for filling tanks of more than 650ltr (regenerate each fill)
· A 12.5ltr water softener should not be used for filling tanks of more than 1000ltr (regenerate each fill)
Softeners larger than this can be used for RO systems but will not need to be regerated each time you fill the tank.

Water Softener with mechanical timer valve
Bypass valve, control valve, tanks, resin, funnel, brine tank line and riser are all included. These are brand new and complete water softener systems. You will need to adapt the threaded connections on these units to suit the plumbing uin your house. Due to the diversity of plumbing and installation options these connections are not supplied with the machines. A little knowledge of DIY and plumbing is required for installation and setup. Uses either granulate or tablet regenrating salt which are widely available but not supplied with this machine.
