Chemspec Enz-All Enzyme Pre-Spray

Chemspec Enz-All is a heavy-duty, enzyme-based pre-spray used by professionals for cleaning and removing tough protein, oil, and grease stains from carpets. It is particularly effective on biologically derived soils found in food service areas, healthcare facilities, and homes. Available in different sizes, including 10 kg and 2.72 kg.

Shelf life: The powdered form has an indefinite shelf life, but once mixed with water, the solution is only effective for 12–24 hours, so it should be mixed fresh.

Appearance and scent: It is an off-white powder with a floral fragrance. 

How to use Chemspec Enz-All Mixing instructions:

Standard pre-spray: Mix 2 scoops (about 57 g) per 1 US gallon (3.8 L) of hot water (120-150F/50-65C). The hot water activates the enzymes.

Heavy soil: Increase the concentration to 3 scoops per 1 US gallon of hot water.

Spotter: For specific stains, mix 1 scoop per 1 quart (0.96 L) of hot water. If treating blood, allow the mixed solution to cool before use.

Inline injection sprayer: Mix 12–18 ounces (340 g) into 5 quarts (4.7 L) of hot water, ensuring the powder is fully dissolved to prevent clogging.

For use on all protein related stains.

Double as a spotter

To use as a protein spotter, mix one scoop of Enz-All to one litre hot water. Enz-All works well even at room temperatures and is superior in performance on all food-related stains Effective blood removal can be achieved by mixing the Enzall hot as per directions and allowing the solution to go cold before use.

Application for carpet cleaning: 

Preparation: Thoroughly vacuum the carpet to remove loose soil.

Pre-treat spots: Treat any specific spots or stains with a concentrated solution.

Apply pre-spray: Apply the mixed Enz-All solution evenly over the carpet.

Agitate: Use a brush or carpet rake to work the solution into the carpet fibers.

Allow dwell time: Let the solution sit for 5 to 15 minutes. It is crucial not to let the carpet dry during this time.

Extract: Rinse and extract with a hot water extraction machine. Follow the manufacturer's directions for your rinse solution, such as Chemspec's Formula 90.

Dry: Use fans or other ventilation to ensure the carpet dries quickly. 

Important considerations

Safety: Avoid using Enz-All on natural fibers like wool or on carpets with stain-resistant treatments, as its high pH can cause damage. Always pre-test the solution on an inconspicuous area for colorfastness before full application.

Handling: Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and eye protection, as the product can cause severe eye damage and skin irritation.

Best practices: For optimal enzyme performance, ensure the water temperature is within the recommended range. Lower temperatures will slow the enzyme action, while excessive heat can damage the enzymes. Do not allow the pre-spray to dry on the carpet before extraction.

Disposal: Dispose of wastewater properly in a sanitary water treatment system.
