Prochem Solvall Spotter 1L

Prochem Solvall Spotter (B123-01) is a ready-to-use, professional-grade dry solvent for removing tough, solvent-soluble stains from carpets and fabrics. It comes in a 1-litre bottle and has a mild orange fragrance. 

Key features and uses

Stain removal: The product is a high-performance blend of quick-drying solvents, designed to remove oil-based stains such as grease, tar, gum, oil-based paint, adhesives, cosmetics, and bitumen.

Surfaces: It is suitable for use on carpets and fabrics. Some sources also state it can be used on most hard surfaces, but you should always pre-test it on an inconspicuous area.

Professional use: The product is intended for professional and industrial use only. 

How to use Prochem Solvall Spotter

According to the product specification sheet from Prochem, you should: 

Wear protective gear, including solvent-resistant gloves and safety glasses.

Ensure adequate ventilation and keep people and pets away from the cleaning area.

Pre-test a small, inconspicuous area to check for colourfastness and compatibility with the material. Note that some dyes and backings may be sensitive to solvents.

Scrape up any excess staining matter.

Apply Solvall Spotter directly to the spot.

Blot immediately with a clean, white towel or tissue. Do not over-apply or rub.

For heavy stains, such as chewing gum, allow the solvent to penetrate the stain for a longer period before scraping or blotting.

Work from the outside of large spots inward to prevent spreading.

Finish by treating the area with a water-based detergent pre-spray, like Prochem B108 Fabric Restorer, to help remove any remaining residue and prevent ring marks.

Brush the carpet or fabric to align the fibres.
