Acid Wash 80 - Clover Descaler

Clover Acid Wash 80 Extra Strength Acidic Toilet Descaler is a hydrochloric acid-based cleaner formulated to remove severe water scale, rust, and stains. It is a highly concentrated product designed for industrial or commercial use in washroom deep-cleaning applications.

Highly concentrated: The product contains a blend of hydrochloric acid and surfactants to dissolve tough mineral deposits and stains.

Versatile use: In addition to toilets and urinals, it can be used on other acid-resistant surfaces, such as ceramic tiles and concrete, for etching floors or removing concrete and plaster splashes.

Not for all surfaces: It is not suitable for use on stainless steel or vitreous enamel surfaces because its acidic nature can damage them. 

Usage and dilution guidelines

Clover Acid Wash 80 should be diluted depending on the severity of the cleaning task: 

Heavy scale and rust removal: Use undiluted by applying it directly to the surface.

Cleaning concrete from walls: Dilute at a ratio of 1 part Acid Wash 80 to 10 parts water.

Etching floors: Dilute at a ratio of 1 part Acid Wash 80 to 40 parts water.

Toilets and urinals: Apply to the surface, agitate if necessary, allow to act for a few seconds, and then rinse thoroughly with water. For best results, use within 8–10 minutes of application. 

Safety precautions

Because of its high acid content, Clover Acid Wash 80 requires extreme caution during use. The Safety Data Sheet warns of severe skin burns and eye damage. 

Wear protective gloves and eye protection at all times.

Use in a well-ventilated area to avoid respiratory irritation from fumes.

Always test the surface for acid resistance in an inconspicuous area before full application.

Do not mix with other cleaning chemicals.

If contact occurs, follow the first aid measures outlined on the product's safety data sheet, such as rinsing skin or eyes with water for several minutes.
