Replacement Pressure switch for 100 psi Shurflo pump
Restore peak performance to your water-fed pole system with a genuine Shurflo 100psi pressure switch. This essential replacement part (model 94-375-18) is designed for Shurflo 8000 series pumps, ensuring your system operates efficiently and protects your pump from damage.
Is this the right part for you? If your pump isn't cutting out correctly or has stopped working, a faulty pressure switch may be the cause. This replacement kit is the perfect solution to get your equipment back in action, delivering the reliability you expect from a Shurflo pump.
Don't let a faulty switch disrupt your workday. Invest in a genuine Shurflo pressure switch today for a quick and reliable fix.
The pressure switch is a small but sensitive component, and several factors can cause it to fail over time. Here's a breakdown of why pressure switches fail on Shurflo pumps used for window cleaning:
Cause: The system pressure fluctuates rapidly (for example, if you're using a pole with small jets or closing the tap partially).
Effect: The switch turns on and off too frequently ("cycling"), which burns or pits the switch contacts.
Fix: Add a Variflo V16 controller.
Cause: Water or condensation enters the pressure switch housing (especially if the pump is used outdoors or gets splashed).
Effect: Corrosion on contacts or short-circuiting of the switch.
Fix: Keep the pump and switch dry and covered; mount the pump in a sheltered area if possible.
Cause: Air leaks or running the pump without enough water flow.
Effect: The pump can't build steady pressure, so the switch rapidly cycles, wearing it out.
Fix: Ensure airtight hose fittings, proper priming, and steady water supply.
Cause: Dirty or loose connections, undersized wiring, or a weak battery can cause the pump to draw higher current.
Effect: The higher current flow overheats or burns the pressure switch contacts.
Fix: Use correct gauge wiring, solid connections, and a fuse-rated circuit for the pump.
Cause: Hard water residue or debris in the pump head can block or interfere with the diaphragm that triggers the switch.
Effect: The switch stops sensing pressure accurately or gets stuck "on" or "off."
Fix: Flush the system with clean, filtered water, and inspect/clean the switch and diaphragm regularly.
If your Shurflo pump is being used for window cleaning (pure water system), It is often better to bypass the pressure switch altogether using a Variflo controller..Flow controllers regulate the current to the pump, giving smoother operation and preventing switch failure altogether.
If you're not sure why your pump is not drawing water, not making any noise, after cleaning its valves and your controller is still showing "PS", then you definitely need this!
