Spot & Stain Removers

Effective removal of coffee, tannin and dye stains.
Works on new and old stubborn stains. Can be accelerated by the heat method using a hair dryer or iron. For very severe stains it is agood idea to use a high sufactant general spotter or detergent befor use such as Professional Spot Lifter particularly on wool fibres as this can help the product to penetrate into the fibres where the deepest staining is and remove the stain more effectively.
An ideal choice for large commercial area spots. For more severe stains see either Spray n Go or Dye Gone.

General Usage
Removes or reduces browning due to oversetting and bleeding through the jute backing.
When the jute carpet backing becomes overwet, jute vegetable dyes combine with the excess moisture and travel up through the carpet fibre during drying and discolour it. Browning Treatment will remove or effectively reduce the discolouration caused.
Brown or yellow animal stains due to loss of colour
An application of Browning Treatment will reduce the intensity of animal stains or in some cases, remove them completely.
Effective on upholstery as well as carpet
Use safely on upholstery. If overwet, the foam or stuffing under the upholstery fabric can discolour the face fabric. This treatment can remove the resulting browning.
Coffee, Tea or Dye staining
Apply after the use of a carpet spotter or detergent (if stain remains) straight onto the fabric or carpet to be treated. Apply heat from a hairdryer or iron method if required. The product continues to work until the product is dry. Rinse thoroughly after use as with all reducing agent type dye removers with a cold solution of water or a detergent rinse to stop the potential for fading the fibre or leaving a powdery residue.

Hints and Tips
For use on carpet & upholstery if browning has occurred
1. Do not dilute use product neat.
2.Pre-test on fabric for colour fastness in an inconspicuous area.
3. Apply treatment using a chemical resistant sprayer. Apply uniformly to the affected area.
4. Brush area with pile brush.
5. Allow Browning Treatment to work until browning is removed or intensity is reduced. Then blot (do not rub) with a clean dry, white cloth to remove excess moisture as desired.
Notes for use on upholstery.
Do not over wet.
5. Extract with a portable or truck mounted vacuum system.
A proper procedure to successfully test for colourfastness
Apply solution to a clean white absorbent cloth. Blot all colours with solution in an inconspicuous area. After blotting each colour, check cloth for dye transfer. Dry each blotted area using a hair dryer check for colour change and/or "bleed".

Effective on coffee, tea, barbeque sauce, gravy, betadine/iodine, urine, soy sauce, wine and much more, in fact anything containing a dye. Use within 5 mins. of mixing as the product will start to lose its strength and will need mixing fresh to obtain best results. The product can be neutralised with cold water once the dye has gone if used on wool or dyed nylon.
Can be left to oxidise on solution dyed fibres as it eventually becomes pure water and will neutralise itself (on solution dyed fibres just spray it on and leave to do the job - no need to rinse). Directions:
1. Clean the stained area with Chemspec Professional Spot Lifter and rinse. Dry the area as thoroughly as possible by blotting or wet vacuuming. If stain is severe leave P.S.L. in.
2. Spray Dye Gone on the stained area, thoroughly saturating the stain, but not overwetting. Agitation may be done with the tamping brush. After the stain has been removed, rinse the area with cold water and blot.
3. Most stains will respond with a cold application. If required, heat may be added by applying an iron on low setting over a damp towel. CAUTION: when using heat monitor closely to make sure the fabric’s dye is not affected.

Hints and Tips
Do not place or store this on any surface that can be damaged by Hydrogen Peroxide solutions.
Keep away from heat source and store in a dry cool location.
When replacing solution containers do not cross contaminate Dry Gone A and B. Containers can pressurize and could cause the unit to burst.
Always line up the Dye Gone Sprayer with corresponding letter on top of the label.
The chemistry of this spotter is identical to the Helpmate Coffee Stain Remover Kit and avoids the need for measuring and pouring products.

To test fabric for "solvent Crocking"
Certain dyes which are usually bright and intense or heavily built prints are subject to rubbing off when dampened with solvents (solvent crocking). To test for solvent crocking wet a white absorbent cloth with solvent and in an inconspicuous area, wet and rub each colour while checking the cloth for dye transfer or smearing. If no transfer or smearing occurs, clean the fabric using normal, industry techniques.

Hints and Tips
Easy to use
1. Do not dilute. Use this product as it comes from the container.
2. Test fabric for “solvent crocking” in an inconspicuous area.
3. Apply Chemspec P.O.G. to a clean, white absorbent cloth.
4. Using wetted cloth, blot the oil based spot working from the outside of the spot and moving toward the centre.
5. Blot area with a clean, white cloth.
6. To insure no residue remains, blot cleaned area with a clean white absorbent cloth wetted with a volatile solvent (such as Chemspec’s Volatile Solvent).
7. Allow area to dry before using.
8. Discard application and blotting cloths in an approved trash receptacle.
