The Exceed Slick 2 Connect female is a bayonet-style coupling for water-fed pole systems, designed for window cleaning. To operate it, you connect it to a male Slick 2 fitting with a push-and-twist motion. The coupling features a snag-free design and concealed O-rings for durability. Colour may vary.

Before you begin

Compatibility check: Slick 2 Connects are not compatible with the older Slick Connect 1.0 or with traditional Rectus fittings.

Correct hose size: The female connector comes in different sizes to match your hose. Ensure you have the correct fitting for your hose's internal diameter (I/D), which is either 6mm or 8mm.

O-clips: For installation, you will need the correct size O-clips for your hose and a crimping tool.

How to use the female Slick 2 connector

For initial installation

Slide the collar and clip: Slide the tapered collar of the female connector over the end of your hose first. Then, slide the appropriate size O-clip onto the hose behind it.

Attach the connector: Push the barbed part of the female connector firmly into the hose until it touches the end of the fitting.

Crimp the O-clip: Use your O-clip tool to crimp the O-clip securely in place, but be careful not to overtighten and damage the barb.

Cover the clip: Slide the tapered collar forward over the connection and O-clip to create a snag-free, protective seal.

Test for leaks: Before use, connect the assembly to the male fitting and run water through it to check for any leaks.

To connect and disconnect during use

Connect: Simply align the two bayonet fittings (male and female), push them together, and twist clockwise to lock them securely. The Slick 2 is designed for low-pressure connection, so you don't have to fight backpressure.

Disconnect: To release, push the fittings together slightly, twist them counter-clockwise, and pull them apart.

Maintenance tips

Rinse off debris: To prolong the life of the connector, regularly rinse off any debris or grit.

Replace O-rings: If you notice any damage or leaks, the O-rings inside the female connector can be replaced.

Avoid freezing: Protect the fittings from freezing temperatures to prevent damage.
